Speaker of the House, Nancy “Red Nanny” Pelosi (Socialist-CA) is at it again!
At her recent weekly press briefing she delivered a textbook lesson in her special field of expertise…fuzzy logic. She attempts to find some kind of linkage to the murders of SF Mayor George Moscone and SF Supervisor Harvey Milk by a deranged former member of the board of Supervisors, Dan White, and that of the actions of angry citizens protesting against the rampant spending and growth of government and its life-partner, government intrusion through regulation.
Ms. Pelosi, who many will remember has recently tried to dismiss the outrage expressed at Townhall meetings, Tea Party demonstrations, and the DC protest by calling those citizens “Un-American”, “Astroturf” and playing the “Nazi” card referring to signs bearing swastikas and the slash and zero of the universal “NO” symbol as a portrayal of the true ideology of the protesters.
Now she adds fear of violence to the mix with this stunning quote; “…I wish we would all curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements and understand that some of the ears that it is falling on are not as balanced as the person making the statements may assume”.
“Unbalanced”? That’s a sure fire way of calming people down; just call them insane! Nobody gets upset by that kind of talk. It’s not the least bit inflammatory!
And Jimma the Peanut’s pronouncement of “racism” as the reason Obama’s policies are not being well received, is guaranteed to sooth the emotions of a citizenry that is becoming increasingly more frustrated with being ignored by their elected representatives.
There is a history of violent anti-government protest in this country, one need only look back at the 60’s to see the proof, but I suggest to the Speaker that that particular history belongs to the left. This writer thinks she should take some of her own advice and dial down her own rhetoric. Some of her ACORN, SEIU, and other allies may not be as “balanced” as she thinks they are.
